Board of Directors
Ken Surles-Law (left) is a physicist at the Thomas Jefferson National Accelerator Facility with extensive experience in operations, research and development. He has been a mentor and tutor in the Southeast Community of Newport News for 30 years, and is committed to helping struggling students and families.
John Crawley (right) is a retired Air Force pilot and a retired Department of Defense civil servant. He served as the Managing Director of the Newsome-Bailey Project in a non-paid capacity from 2011-2021. He has been a student mentor and family advocate in the Southeast Community of Newport News for thirteen years.

Treasurer
Lawrence Myers is a licensed CPA and the Vice President of Finance for Basic Construction Company, LLC—a road building and utility installation contractor. He volunteers his time to serve a variety of community outreach activities.
Executive Director
Tina O’Tool is the managing director of the organization. She oversees the day-to-day operations of Newsome-Bailey Project, Inc., coordinates program activities, volunteer- and staff involvement, and is responsible for the proper administration of the affairs of the various departments. She is a social worker with vast experience helping families in need.
